Our Teachers

Freia Marten

Freia Marten teaches mathematics. She also works as a lecturer at the Studentenwerk Schleswig-Holstein and the University of Applied Sciences for Administration in Altenholz. She has been working for the campus for over ten years.

Dr. Martin Friederichs

Dr. Martin Friederichs received his doctorate in geography, meteorology and chemistry and teaches physics and chemistry on the campus. He works as a translator for nautical specialist literature, as a participant and at times as a skipper on expedition trips in the Arctic and the Antarctic

Jonah Trubbas

Jonah Trubbas works in the administration of the BSIC and is the contact person for students and lecturers. He graduated from the University of Hamburg with a degree in educational science. He teaches social studies in the W-course of the preparatory college. He is also a board member of the Peter Jochimsen Foundation g.

Per Hendrik Hansen

Per Hendrik Hansen graduated from the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) to become a trade teacher. He has been teaching economics in the W-course at the BSIC as well as business administration at the Rendsburg-Eckernförde vocational training center for several years.

Ole Freiberg

Ole Freiberg studied German and English to become a teacher. He has also completed additional training as a certified teacher for German as a foreign language at the “International House” in Freiburg. Mr. Freiberg has been teaching at the BSIC since 2012.

Birte Iversen

Birte Iversen is studying environmental geography and management as well as English at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. She teaches English at the BSI campus, and above all she enjoys the intercultural exchange with prospective students.

Peter Reelman

After studying business administration at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Peter Reelmann worked as a senior financial consultant and managing director in the private sector. In 2009 he decided to study commercial teaching and mathematics and has been working as a teacher since 2014. At the Baltic Sea International Campus, Peter Reelmann teaches accounting, economics and business administration.

Jonas Latz

Jonas Latz is currently studying to become a commercial teacher at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. He teaches computer science and economics.

Prof. Dr. Peter Jochimsen

President

Prof. Dr. Peter Jochimsen is President of the Baltic Sea International Campus. He is a pedagogue and special education teacher. Jochimsen is chairman of the board of trustees of the Peter Jochimsen Foundation g. He was rector of the Kiel University of Applied Sciences.

Wei Qian

Managing Director

Wei Qian is managing director of BSIC GmbH and board member of the Peter Jochimsen Foundation g. She is President of the “Deutsch Chinesische Gesellschaft e.V.” (www.dcg-online.info) and Vice President of the “Arbeitensgemeinschaft Deutscher China-Gesellschaften e.V.” (www.deutsche-china-ag. de), board member of the International Commission VdU - (Verband deutscher Unternehmerinnen) and Vice Chairman of the China Yangtze River Delta Institute of Industrial and Technological Innovation.
